chocolate mint apron giveaway

A delectable chocolate mint apron from The Hip Hostess!

The response to Monday’s Chocolate-mint apron giveaway was amazing.

A huge thanks once again to The Hip Hostess for offering one of her amazing aprons as a giveaway after she saw the chocolate-mint brownie eye candy from last week.

To get down to the nitty gritty, it was an extremely difficult decision to choose from all of the fabulous chocolate-mint recipes you suggested.

Martinis, fudge, cheesecake, sundaes…reading the comments made my mouth water.  Even Debbie Betrand, the Hip Hostess herself got in on the act and actually left a recipe!  I shall reprint it here in case you didn’t see it.

“All these Chocolate Mint delights suddenly reminded me of my favorite way to enjoy Chocolate Mint. A retro but very sophisticated cocktail from the 60′s…
Have you ever tried one? Like a little bit of heaven in a martini glass!

“The Grasshopper”
3/4 oz green creme de menthe
3/4 oz white creme de cacao
3/4 oz light cream
Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.
Blend with vanilla ice cream for even cooler confection!”

The winner is Emily Battin, who described such a delightful scene, I could imagine her in the apron cooking in her kitchen. Congratulations Emily, please contact me and your apron will be shipped to you shortly!

PS

As always, I have no financial or affiliate marketing relations hip with The Hip Hostess (or anyone).  Debbie made a kind offer that I thought would be great fun for my readers.

I keep stressing this no-financial relationship issue whenever I mention a book or product or shout-out a business because it’s incredibly important to me that you know I make these mentions based on merit and my experience as an actual customer. Not because I am being paid to endorse someone or something.  Thanks and happy weekend.
