Ruffled dish!

Hello and happy Friday afternoon to you. It’s been a long hot week here full of deadlines, technical crises, and other assorted excitement. I hope your week has run a little more smoothly than that. So in honor of winding down the week, here’s a little Vintage Silver Eye Candy.

I have an endless fascination with the details.  Mies van der Rohe was right – it’s all in the details. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know!

Ruffles, Repousse and Ridges: Vintage Silver Eye Candy

PS

The lovely Diane Gottsman from the Protocol School of Texas was kind enough to invite me to do a guest post for her this week. Here is my take on Vintage Silver and Etiquette Rebooted.

Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful! We should re-write that Jobim samba from “Baubles, Bangles, and Beads” to “Ruffles, Repousse, and Ridges.”

It’s incredible to me how that level of exquisite detail could be hand done. On the other hand, that level of exquisite detail could only be hand done, couldn’t it?

      Hi Ivette –

Thanks so much for your comments. They mean so much to me. Actually, you would be surprised what is handmade vs. machine made in these photos. 🙂

Nancy, what a fun video. Love the details though I’m a total sucker for pierced. Thanks for stopping by. Sorry I’ve been MIA — still trying to unpack and reorganize. Jane F
