Monogram Challenge – Monday 9 May 2011

$145.00

You’ve got another tricky monogram (admit it, if they weren’t tricky it wouldn’t be any fun) for today’s challenge.

But first, you might be noticing the new layout.

A couple of kind readers gently pointed out to me that it would be nice if it were clearer to tell and easier to find which pieces are for sale. After my initial surprise (What!? It’s not obvious! Oh gosh, it’s not!) I’ve been looking for an elegant solution to the problem.

After a lot of research and testing I’ve settled on this format.

These little photos (like the one to the left) will be sprinkled throughout the site, if you click on the description it will take you to a page with all the details. You can view the entire collection via the shop tab on the menu or by clicking here.

There are still lots of items to add, but they’ll be coming every day until the entire Silver Magpies inventory is online.

So check back often! 🙂

A double, single, triple???

On to today’s Monogram Challenge!

If you’re new to the Monogram Challenge, click here to find the rules of the game.  Click here if you’re looking for actual rules for Monograms on silver or any other item.

As always, I’ll reveal the answer on Friday.  We’ve had a crowded field the last few weeks and Jane N has upset two long-time champions.  Can she make it three in a row?

I look forward to seeing all your answers.

PS

If you have any thoughts about the new format, I’d appreciate your feedback! Your eyes often see things mine miss, and it’s your perspective that keeps this site changing and improving.  Thanks.

I really like the new layout.

Okay this is very tricky, but I am going to go with “B” and just “B” because the seeming “H” etc would be in a far too simple and incongruent style. So, “B” is my guess.

      Hello Ivette –

I’m so glad you like the layout 🙂 you would have laughed silly to see me figuring it all out. I have you down for a plain B.

As always, thanks so much for playing.

First time player here. I saw the H and B (center) right away, but wasn’t sure about the right letter until I enlarged the photo. Looks like HBL to me.

Thanks for commenting on the interior barn doors. I love the door within a door feature too – but the horse… my heart is still pounding!

      Hi Allison –

That horse was gorgeous, the whole layout was fabulous. Thanks for playing as well, HBL for you too. OK, if there is a draw my trusty straw hat will break the tie.
