Mirror Images?

Good morning everyone!

It’s monogram challenge Monday

To keep everyone on their toes, today we’re going to have a slightly different challenge. The question revolves around (haha) which way do you look at a monogram?

On some pieces it’s easy to tell, but I have a gorgeous set of vintage silver serving dishes presenting an interesting dilemma. Or is it a dilemma at all?

Gothic text

Upside down?

Gothic 2

Or down-side up?

Does it matter?

You tell me

What do you think this monogram is and why.  Best case, as chosen by me, wins. I think this silver typography fever may be worse than originally suspected! Is it a chronic condition? I’m beginning to think so.

If you are new…

Welcome, and you can find all the rules and other fine print here. I will post the winner on Friday.

If you know anyone who might enjoy this post, perhaps you’d send it to them or tweet about it. Thanks. I’m looking forward to your thoughts and comments.

I agree, it’s a “W” because of the little “wingie things” on the outside vertical. It looks odd, backwards, on the “M”, like the wind is blowing the wrong way or something. It’s just off.

    So! Concur, it’s a “W”.

    Hi Ivette –

I love it, you and Flib are now so decisive! See what happens after a few weeks of reading monograms can do 🙂 No more tentative sentences for you.
